Do you Bag and Board your comics?

Here at “I Like Comics”, we bag and board all our comics for no additional cost. This helps keep the condition of the comic book like new.  The greater condition of a comic book is associated with its value.  Bagging and Boarding your comics and storing them in a box laying upright is the first steps in making sure your comic book collection stay in the best possible condition.

Are there any deposits or subscription fees?

There are NO FEES to have a subscription box at “I like Comics”.  All we ask is you come in at least once a month or let us know if you are going to be gone for longer than that time frame.

How much do I save by having a subscription box?

Having a subscription box not only lets you reserve the books you want but they also come already bagged and boarded.  On top of that those that have a subscription box receive a 20% discount on any titles they currently get each month.

What’s the minimum amount of titles I need to be signed up for?

One monthly title.  That’s it.  We of course also can get you signed up for mini-series, crossover events, and tie-ins.  Also, if you want “All Deadpool” or “All Batman”, just let us know!

 

Do You Buy Comics?

Yes, We Buy Comics

Yes, we do buy comic books.  We buy all eras of comics, so feel free to give us a call to make sure our buyer is in and bring them on down, and if you have a large collection, we are more than happy to make an appointment to come to you.  We offer competitive pricing won’t string you along.

Other Merchandise

We also purchase original artwork, statues and action figures.  We do prefer that statues are like new with no blemishes and their original boxes, and action figures must still be in their original packaging.

Cash or In Store Credit

We offer cash, trade and in-store credit.

How do I get my Comics Graded?

We are happy to look at any comics you want to be graded and make recommendations.  Below you will find the companies that we can submit to for you.  The prices you see on their sites are the same that we charge in store.

CBCS

Comic Book Certifications Service (CBCS) was started by professional comic book hobbyists with the intent of protecting the fellow hobbyists when buying and selling comic books. CBCS has created a completely customized design specifically made for there clients by fellow comic enthusiasts.

CGC

CGC is Certified Guaranteed Company LLC.  They are a professional comic book grading company that helps eliminate confusion around the quality  and condition of a comic book.   Furthermore, every CGC-certified comic book undergoes a thorough restoration check by leading professionals during the certification process.  When restoration is detected, it is fully noted on the certification label.  For more info Click CGC

Do you carry Pokemon, Magic, D&D or other gaming cards?

Gaming Cards

At this time, we don’t carry nor purchase any Pokemon or other types of card games.  We do however carry the Pokemon, D&D and Magic: The Gathering comics and graphic novels.

How Do I Find Out What Is Coming Out?

Previews

Each month Diamond distributors put out a magazine called Previews that will announce the next months comics, collectibles, graphic novels and more.  We use this to make our orders and many customers also get this magazine to inform them on what they would like to get.

Do You Have Events?

Free Comic Book Day

Every year the first Saturday in May is Free Comic Book Day.  We offer free multiple issues for just coming in as well as signings by various artists.  We also have a huge store wide discounts and more for this special day.  The next Free Comic Book Day is scheduled for May 2nd, 2015.  More information will be available closer to May.

Signings

We have a lot of friends in the comic book industry and they like to interact with their fans.  We have various artists and writers that come in each year for a day to sign autographs and take pictures with fans.
